ERP Evolution in Light of SME Constraints
Abayomi Baiyere, ERP Evolution in Light of SME Constraints. In: Information Systems 2014, 1–8, 2014.
Abstract:
Small and Medium-size Enterprises (SMEs) are in contrast to larger organizations in possession of limited resources. ERP Implementation, however, is a process that requires and is dependent hugely on the use of resources - from tangible to tacit resources. This apparent situation prompts two logical questions: Would SMEs have to wait till they have enough resources? Or would ERP’s evolve to accommodate the constraints of SMEs? This paper examines the evolving innovation trend of ERP systems and the future tendencies, in light of the constraint posed by the SME market.
