Abstract:

Contrary to traditional practices, we consider that software processes should emerge and
evolve collaboratively within an organization. In this article we present our vision of
collaborative process authoring, we evaluate and discuss how existing process authoring
tools suit this vision and we suggest a number of improvements to these tools to facilitate the
deployment of a collaborative process authoring method in a large and geographically
distributed organization.
