Abstract:
This paper presents the idea of a simple frequency reconfigurable antenna that operates at multiband 5.01GHz, 7.2GHz, and a wide band from 4.3GHz to 7.1GHz in this paper. By switching the diode for microstrip elements on the anetenna, the operating frequency will shift with fixed radiation patterns. They have low weight, smaller in dimension and lower in price and reconfigurable antenna can provide diversity feature of operating resonant frequency and radiation pattern. The simulated return loss and surface current are provided and shown for both cases.
