Abstract:
First we introduce our view on near future use of telemedicine in armed forces. Then we look back to the history for some real-world examples on the coercive use of medicine in the military. After this we examine what kind of ethical risks and threats applications and systems of telemedicine, in relation to coercive use of medicine, in the military context may create in the future. Finally, we suggest some remedies to these problems. Future research and definition of various policies in the field are still clearly needed.
