Abstract:

Many Finnish municipal organizations today face diminishing resources and are struggling to keep up with their current service level. The problem is especially critical in the smallest municipalities located in the archipelago. The archipelago schools need to find new ways of organizing their operations to maintain the high standard of education they are legally bound to give. We are developing new web-based and mobile technologies as a means of utilizing the existing resources better and even improving the overall quality of education.
