Efficient Channel Models for Network-Level Simulations
Jussi Poikonen, Jarkko Paavola, Efficient Channel Models for Network-Level Simulations. In: Proc. IEEE CHINACOM 2009, Xi’an, China, 2009., 2009.
Abstract:
Abstract—This paper presents computationally efficient channel models, considered specifically from the point-of-view of network-level simulations. We outline models applicable at various system protocol layers of wireless communication systems,
which take into account small-scale fading channel environments, and the time-variant error behavior relevant for mobile receivers. The presented models can be utilized in network planning, system parameter optimization and in analysing the effects of errors on specific applications.
