Abstract:

In the paper "Inconsistency of pair-wise comparison matrix with fuzzy elements based on geometric mean" [Fuzzy Sets and
Systems 161 (2010) 1604–1613], the authors presented an index of inconsistency for pairwise comparison matrices with fuzzy
entries. This short note shows that the Chebyshev distance may fail to fairly capture inconsistency and that therefore, it should be
conveniently replaced by some other metric.
