Learning outcomes:
After completion of the course the student has basic engineering working life skills required in a global changing environment of working life and technology. The student has skills for systematic engineering work and problem solving. The student knows how to work in a project and understand his/her own role in it. The student has basic understanding of business processes, innovation processes, life cycle of a product, service or knowledge and basics for sustainable development. The student is aware of professional and ethical responsibilities in his/her duties as well as the effects in the society.
Contents:
The course will cover basic working life skills needed in an international engineering work in the field of technology. Course is divided into three basic topics. Business environment topic describes the basic business processes, value chains and roles of stakeholders. Productization topic describes the life cycle of a product or service from innovation to end-of-life management. Project management topic includes basics of starting and completing an engineering project.
