Learning outcomes:
The student knows how to appropriately analyze educational data and how to report results in the area of educational research. The student knows how to utilize quantitative and qualitative research methods for data analysis.

Contents:
The students are provided access to selected anonymized data collected automatically by ViLLE learning environment. Methods for analyzing big data in learning sciences are provided, as well as comprehensive view on reporting results in IT education research. Students perform data analysis and write a research report on the topics selected by themselves or in small groups. Best reports can be adapted to scientific publications in co-operation with the course staff.
