How to apply in the Doctoral Network in Information Technologies and Mathematics

Application

Please send the application to the Graduate School at Åbo Akademi University as follows:

  1. Application
    1. Please fill in and submit the electronic application form https://survey.abo.fi/lomakkeet/5102/lomake.html by clicking "Save"
      AND
    2. Save an electronic copy of the application form by clicking “Save the completed form as a file”, to be submitted by email including the appendices B, C, D, E, F and G
  2. Research plan approved by the supervisor (may be checked for plagiarism)
  3. Curriculum vitæ (including a list of publications)
  4. Copies of relevant diplomas including transcript of records (BA, MA, MSc, other)
  5. Commitment letter from the supervisor including a funding plan
  6. Transcript of records from any precious doctoral studies (research plan must include any previous work done towards a doctoral degree)
  7. Any other relevant documents, i.e. recommendation letters

Complete documents are required.

The application form and the appendices should be titled “ditm_surname_first name”.

Applications, with all enclosures, should be submitted by June 26, 2014 at 4 p.m. (CET +1) electronically.

Assessment of applications

The applications will be assessed by the board of the Doctoral network in Information Technologies and Mathematics with experts from outside the Åbo Akademi University.

Assessment and selection criteria consist of applicant’s educational and academic merits as well as research potential assessed on the basis of the application documents. The research topic of the Doctoral Candidate must fit the profile of the network.
